As a psychiatrist, Dr. Baker provides psychiatric services for various mental conditions including anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, and dementia. He also serves as the Medical Director of Colorado Plains Medical Centers Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit.
A native of the Mid-West, Dr. Baker obtained his undergraduate education at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. He earned his doctor of medicine degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. His residency training in psychiatry was performed at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
Most recently, Dr. Baker served as the medical director of a ten bed geriatric special care unit in Beloit, Kansas. He provided inpatient assessment, treatment, and consultations as well as outpatient follow-up in area nursing homes.
When not working with patients, Dr. Baker enjoys spending time with his wife, Agnes, and his grandson, Diavion. He is also an avid football spectator and fisherman.
