Dr. Jack Ormand was born in Seguin, Texas. He received his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas in Austin, and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed his Internship at the University of California in Davis, California, and his Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. Ormand served as Lieutenant Commander, U.S. Navy Chief of Medicine, at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Key West, Florida from 1973 to 1975. He completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas in 1977.
