Minimally invasive treatment of spinal disorders including disc herniations with Sciatica, chronic low back pain secondary to degenerative discs, facet arthritis or sacroiliac disease, acute and chronic neck pain secondary to trauma e.g. whiplash injury or degenerative processes.
Our practice also has extensive experience in treating patients with continued or worsening back or leg pain following one or multiple surgeries. Treatment is tailored to a specific diagnosis and is evidence based on the most current medical literature. A thorough history and directed physical exam is done for every new patient, and prior diagnostic studies are reviewed. Treatment is conservative, and often begins with physical therapy, medicine and/or injection therapies. A small number of patients may require minimally invasive procedures such as percutaneous disc decompression, radiofrequency neurotomy or the trial placement of spinal cord stimulator ('pain pacemaker'). All therapies are FDA approved and most are completely covered by commercial insurers and Medicare.
