Dr. J. Craig Uecker is one of the founding physicians of the Physicians Institute of Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a community-based practitioner focusing on a comprehensive approach to cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. As a native of Hollywood, Florida, Dr. Uecker has enjoyed establishing his surgical practice in his hometown and has been in practice since July of 1994. Dr. Uecker received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at Harvard University and graduated Cum Laude. He was awarded the Henry Lamar Scholar-Athlete Most Dedicated Award and the Brian Piccolo Scholar-Athlete Scholarship due to his participation in the Harvard football program. He received his medical degree at the University of South Florida, College of Medicine where he was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society. The doctor performed his general surgery residency and plastic surgery residency at the University of Texas in Houston, Texas. Dr. Uecker holds medical licenses in both Texas and Florida. He is board certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. He is a member of the following: American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons Harris County Medical Society Broward County Medical Society Broward County Plastic and Reconstructive Society Alpha Omega Alpha , Gamma Chapter of Florida Dr. Uecker is fully trained in all aspects of modern plastic and reconstructive surgery including: cosmetic surgery of the face and body, breast surgery (reconstruction, augmentation, and reduction), hair replacement, suction-assisted lipectomy, body contouring, and all laser procedures. In addition, Dr. Uecker has reconstructive surgical experience in repairing congenital problems such as cleft lips and birthmarks, craniofacial reconstruction and hand surgery.
