BackgroundOriginally from Colorado, Dr. Williams made his way to the south in pursuit of his medical degree. Upon completion of his residency program at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, he has practiced mostly in Columbia.
Dr. Williams joined Beaufort Memorial Primary Care in 2023 after 12 years of providing care for patients in a West Columbia clinic that was designed to offer a medical home for the uninsured. Prior to that he cared for patients in a variety of settings, including skilled nursing facilities, hospitals and outpatient practices.
Dr. Williams and his wife, Cynthia, a registered nurse, are no strangers to the Lowcountry lifestyle. They love the Beaufort area and previously had a home on Daufuskie Island. Dr. Williams especially enjoys exploring the outdoors with nature photography, hiking and fishing, whenever he gets the chance.
