Dr. Mehta obtained his medical degree from the Unviersity of New Delhi in India. He subsequently received surgical training in the US: General Surgery residency in New York, Adult Cardiothoracic and Cardiac Transplant fellowship at Yale School of Medicine and Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery fellowship at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Denver Children's Hospital. He has held staff positions at the Medical College of Virigina and at the University of MS. Dr. Mehta is board certified in General and Cardiothroacic Surgery. His areas of interest include Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgery and Cardiac Transplantation.
