Being a urologist is a nice blend of interacting with patients and using science to help solve problems, and I like that. My goal is to help improve a patient's quality of life. I see children and adults, both men and women. I treat patients with a variety of issues: cancers of the kidneys, bladder or prostate, along with people who have urinary problems or kidney stones. After someone makes an appointment with me, I want him or her to have a good understanding of their condition and what the next steps are. I want them to feel like they are in good hands. I don't want someone to feel like they are at the mercy of the doctor's decision, but rather an active participant in their own care.
