I was born in a little rural town just outside of Toronto, Canada. I attended medical school at the University of Toronto and graduated in 1993. After graduating, I made my way south of the border and landed in the Bronx, New York, for my internship in internal medicine. For me, it was a year that was filled with tremendous personal and professional growth. On the advice of a friend, I came to a decision that was a defining moment in my life. That decision was to transfer to Los Angeles to complete my medical residency training. I met my future wife here in L.A., and subsequently made Southern California my home.
