Dr. Unger is the founding partner of Cary Urology. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Miami and finished medical school training at Vanderbilt University. His internship and residency were performed at Bellevue Medical Center. He retired as a Major from the Air Force after serving as a flight surgeon. His Fellowship came from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Unger is certified as a Diplomate of Urology. His many appointments include President of the Medical Staff of Western Wake Hospital, President of the North Carolina Urological Association, Board of Directors for the Southeastern American Urological Association, and now is currently a member of the North Carolina Medical Care Commission.
