Graduated from Faculty of Medicine, University of Ceylon, Colombo, Sri Lanka, and completed training at St. Peters Hospital, Albany, NY and at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine at Farmington. Director of the Newborn Care at Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center since 1977 and holds an academic appointment at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine as Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Family Medicine. Chairman/Director of Pediatrics since 2004.
