Brief Intro

Helmi Khadra, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeon with expertise in the surgical treatment of benign and malignant thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and gastrointestinal-pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. He is committed to provide the highest quality and personalized care for every patient along with the use of the latest and most advanced surgical technologies available including minimally invasive robotic surgery and non-surgical options like radiofrequency ablation of thyroid nodules.

Dr. Khadra is originally from Chicago, and completed his general surgery training at Tulane University where he received numerous teaching, research, and clinical awards including the Rudolph Matas Clinical Research Award, the Charles Keller Surgical Advocate Award, Tulane University Owl Club- Best Surgery Resident Award and the Elmo J. Cerise Best Chief Resident Award. He then completed a comprehensive fellowship in endocrine and oncology surgery at Yale University.

Dr. Khadra’s clinical and research interests are in the use of minimally invasive techniques in the surgical management of endocrine disorders. He is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Surgeons, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, American Association of Endocrine Surgeons, Society of Surgical Oncology, and American Thyroid Association.
