Heather Bittner-Fagan, M.D., director of health services research, has been a practicing physician and researcher at Christiana Care Health System since 2003. Dr. Fagan is currently working towards a masterÂ’s degree in public health. She completed her residency and research fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. FaganÂ’s work focuses on improved colorectal cancer screening and determining the role of obesity in colorectal cancer. She is a current recipient of the American Cancer SocietyÂ’s Cancer Control Career Development Award. Dr. FaganÂ’s clinical interests include cancer prevention and care of the underserved. Originally from Burgettstown, Pa, she is married to Matthew J. Fagan, M.D., also a Jefferson alumni. They reside in Garnet Valley with their two sons, Matthew and Joseph.
