Brief Intro

Dr. ODonnell joined the faculty at The Childrens Hospital of Montefiore and at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2008. She enjoys working as a pediatric primary care physician and teaching medical students and residents at the Comprehensive Family Care Center. She also serves as a member of the Montefiore Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Steering Committee and as the chair of the Pediatric EMR Committee. She is dedicated to the continuous improvement of the Montefiore Medical Center outpatient EMR. Dr. ODonnells research interests include physician communication across transitions in healthcare and understanding how technology can be used to improve this communication and the coordination of pediatric care. She was recently awarded the Academic Pediatric Association Young Investigator Award to investigate provider communication as newborns transition from the nursery into pediatric ambulatory care. After receiving her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. ODonnell completed her pediatric internship and residency at Columbia University/Childrens Hospital of New York (CHONY) in 2006. During the two years after residency, Dr. ODonnell worked as a pediatric attending at CHONY, completed a fellowship in health services research in the Department of Public Health at Weill Cornell Medical College and obtained her masters in clinical research at Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences.
