Dr. Day received his medical degree from the Louisiana State University Medical Center in 1981. He completed two years of surgery training (internship/residency) at Charity Hospital/Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans in 1983. After spending two years in private practice in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Day served four additional years in surgery residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center - Shreveport, graduating in 1989. Dr. Day is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and clinical professor of surgery at Oregon Health & Science University. He joined the PeaceHealth medical staff in December of 1990.
Special interests are Carotid Endarterectomy for Stroke Prevention.
