Gerald Bilsky, M.D. is the Medical Director for Outpatient Services and the Associate Medical Director for the Acquired Brain Injury Program at Shepherd Center. Dr. Bilsky graduated magna cum laude from Brown University and graduated from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in 1984. He completed his post-graduate residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Rochester in 1989.
Dr. Bilsky currently serves as co-chair of Shepherd Center's ethics committee. He is recognized as a leader in the field of PM&R and has served on numerous committees and organizational boards of directors including Society of Sigma XI, the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, the Georgia Society of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, the Southern Society of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, the Southern Medical Society, the Brain Injury Association of Georgia, the National Brain Injury Association and the American Spinal Injury Association. Dr. Bilsky has been published in regional and national medical journals and frequently gives presentations in relevant areas of the specialty of Rehabilitation Medicine.
