Dr. Korengold was born in New York, NY and moved to Montgomery County in 1960, at age 13. He was in the first graduating class of Walt Whitman High School in 1964. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968 and his M.D. degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine in 1972. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Childrens National Medical Center in 1975, and has been in practice with Bethesda Pediatrics ever since. Dr. Korengold is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Georgetown University Medical School and George Washington University Medical School. Dr. Korengold is a past president of the Montgomery-Prince Georges Pediatric Society and has been included on the Washingtonian magazines best doctors list since 1993. He serves on the Treatment and Learning Centers Medical Advisory Board, and was its past chairman. Hes also a member of the Board of Directors of the Child Center and Adult Services. Dr. Korengold and his wife, Bobbie, have been married since 1970, have a son and a daughter, and four fabulous grandchildren.
