Dr. Gene E. Huebner, a native of Bellville, Texas, attended the University of Texas in Austin and the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he received his medical degree in 1976. After completing his residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita, Kansas, he returned to Houston, Texas, where he began his practice in 1980. He is a founding partner of Southwest OB/GYN Associates, LLP, and is Managing Partner. In 2004 and 2005, Dr. Huebner was named "Best OB/GYN" in Fort Bend County in the Fort Bend Sun's Readers' Choice Awards. Dr. Huebner serves as Perinatal Director at Methodist Hospital in Sugar Land. Dr. Huebner was recently selected as "Physician of the Quarter" by the staff of Methodist Hospital in Sugar Land. The certificate presented to him by the Birthing Center staff noted that Dr. Huebner "...spends time talking to his patients in a calm manner; understands the patient's perspective; always takes time to explain procedures to patients while also including their families in their plan of care."
