Dr. Gareth E. Shemesh was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He received a B.A. from St. John's University, M.S. in biology from Loyola University of Chicago and his M.D. from St. George's University School of Medicine. After completing residency in internal medicine in New Jersey, he finished an additional residency in rehabilitation medicine at Jewish Hospital at Washington University School of Medicine. He is board certified in both disciplines and is a Fellow with the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Shemesh specializes in the diagnosis and non-surgical management of musculoskeletal disorders, acute and chronic pain and diagnostic/therapeutic injections. He also performs electrodiagnostic testing and is a member of the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
