My ophthalmology practice includes expertise in all types of glaucoma and ocular (eye) hypertension. Increased eye pressure is a risk factor for developing glaucoma, which is a potentially blinding condition. I work closely with patients to prevent vision loss from this or other eye diseases. Current advances include many non-invasive procedures that can help. As a young physician, I completed my ophthalmology residency under the direction of the distinguished Dr. William Havener. He was the first full-time ophthalmologist at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health. He was chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at the young age of 35. The late Dr. Havener's high standards still influence me and prevail here at his namesake, the Havener Eye Institute. His legacy as a compassionate physician, a skilled surgeon, an internationally known author and innovative leader are all part of our institute's great history. It's a privilege to carry on those standards, alongside my expert colleagues at Ohio State. We are dedicated to providing outstanding care and service. From personalized office visits to skilled surgical procedures, our patients are in good hands.
