Frederick F. Herman, MD has conducted research on various allergies for almost three decades, making him one of the most experienced allergists in the country. His diverse clinical experience has allowed him to serve as an expert witness for cases involving respiratory diseases, mold related illnesses, immune deficiencies and chronic fatigue. Dr. Herman has also applied his skill to several research studies, including those associated with asthma, allergies, and immunotherapy and chemical sensitivity.
Before graduating from Saint Louis University School of Medicine and training at the Los Angeles Kaiser Foundation Hospital’s Allergy and Immunology department, Dr. Herman attended Loyola Marymount University. It was here he learned the Jesuit values of “working for and with others” that he continues to practice. He is particularly passionate about children’s health, and for many years served on the board of the Ronald McDonald House as the Director of the Asthma Camp Programs. Dr. Herman has also managed programs to assist children with asthma, diabetes and obesity while serving as the Medical Director with the City of Long Beach.
Dr. Herman’s diverse experience and excellent bedside manner has made him one of the most sought after physicians in the country. Not only does the community love him – the Sacramento Press Tribune Newspaper voted him as “best physician” for many consecutive years, and he has been listed as “Best Allergy Doctor” in Sacramento Magazine for six years in a row. But, he has received recognition for Excellence in Allergy and Immunology research by his colleagues at the American College of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
