Fred
S. Margolis, D.D.S.
“We love kids! By making dentistry
fun for them, we feel that we’re starting kids on the road to good dental
health... and a lifetime of beautiful smiles. We enjoy being able to calm a
child’s fears and make him or her feel good about going to the dentist.â€
Thousands of Buffalo Grove, Illinois children know him as “Uncle
Fred.â€Â That’s because, just like a lovable uncle, he’s able to calm a
child’s fears. Dr. Margolis makes those children feel good about going to
the dentist. And those good feelings can result in a lifetime of good
dental habits.
While Dr. Margolis has been adding that element of fun to pediatric
dentistry in Buffalo Grove, Illinois for 25 years, that’s not all he does. He teaches pediatric and
laser dentistry at Loyola University and the University of Illinois. He’s
written many professional and lay publications, including the book,
“Beautiful Smiles for Special People,†a guide for dental professionals on
how to treat disabled children and adults. He is a member of many
professional organizations, including the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry,
has been President of the Illinois Foundation of Dentistry for the
Handicapped, been staff dentist for Glenkirk Foundation and is the
Chairman of the Chicago Special Olympics/Special Smiles program. Dr.
Margolis is on the medical-dental staff at Northwest Community and Loyola
University Hospitals.
Remember, your child’s first visit to the dentist is often the most
important one. If the visit is pleasant and enjoyable, your child will
feel better about seeing the dentist regularly. “Uncle Fred†will take
care of your child’s dental needs while making the visit fun.
