Fabian G. Hosein, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Fabian Hosein attended the University of Northern Iowa where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He then completed dental school at the University Of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, graduating once again with highest honors at the top of his class. He was chosen to join the residency program at the University Of Texas Health Science Center, where he completed an additional three years of training in the Endodontic specialty. During this time, Dr. Hosein became published in the research field of dentistry and received numerous awards including the American Association of Endodontists award. As part of his training Dr. Hosein completed additional research and a Master’s thesis entitled “Expression of Chemokine Receptors in Periapical Tissue in Previously Endodontically Treated Teethâ€. Dr. Hosein, his wife Heather and their children are thrilled to be back here in the Midwest closer to family. His knowledge and professional expertise combined with his superior clinical skill and warm, sincere personality are what bring excellence to this practice.

“Expression of Chemokine Receptors in Periapical Tissue In Previously Endodontically Treated Teethâ€. The purpose of the study was to investigate the expression of chemokine receptors (CCR1 & 2 and CXCR1 & 2) associated with periapical granuloma formation in previously endodontically treated teeth, June 2006.

“A Comparative study of the Torsional Properties and Cleaning and Shaping Efficacy of the Root Canal System, Using New Rotary Endodontic Systemsâ€. The effectiveness of ProFiles’s .04 taper series and Brasseler’s RaCe – Rotary Alternating Cutting Edge were compared in regard to the degree of flare in simulated canals. The file (size and type) with the degree of breakage was also correlated using a Torsiometer, March 2003.

The purpose of this clinical study was to determine the effect of antiviral therapy oral Valacyclovir on the number of Langerhans cells in serial biopsies obtained from HIV-positive individuals, with and without Oral Hairy Leukoplakia tongue lesions, March 2001.
