Dr. Eric Gifford is a Board Certified Family & Sports Medicine Physician with Fellowship training in Sports Medicine and Orthopedics.Dr. Gifford Specializes in the non-operative management of musculoskeletal ailments. Whether an acute fracture, overtraining injury, or chronic pain in a joint, he will give you the best evidence-based treatment options and develop a treatment plan to help get you going. He attended Medical University of the Americas, where he served as the student body president for 2 semesters before graduating as a Doctor of Allopathic Medicine. Then on to the University of Tennessee, where he completed his residency in Family Medicine and a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the World-renowned Campbell Clinic in Memphis Tennessee.Throughout Fellowship training, Dr. Gifford served as one of the team physicians for the Memphis Redbirds AAA affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, University of Memphis, Rhodes College, Christian Brothers University, and multiple high school programs in the Memphis Tennessee area. Now breaking away to develop an independent practice with more freedom to utilize all the training and experience gathered in the last 10 years of practice. Dr. Gifford is utilizing his expertise to develop not only acute treatment plans but also implementing regenerative medicine and Sport specific rehabilitation. At 417 Sports medicine and Orthopedics, Dr. Gifford looks forward to treating each patient regardless of their ailment with the latest and greatest treatment options to help them recover and get back in the game.
