Dr. Dierks? practice is diverse and includes treatment of benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck, reconstructive surgery, as well as the surgery of other problems such as cleft lip and palate. He works with dentists throughout the region in the combined rehabilitation of difficult oral problems, including complex dental implant reconstruction. Services he provides include head and neck cancer surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, maxillofacial trauma and transoral robotic surgery (TORS). Dr. Dierks is actively involved in the training of fellows in head and neck surgery, as well as oral and maxillofacial surgery residents. He has lectured nationally and internationally and has been invited to teach surgery in India, Europe, Australia and the Middle East. In addition to his service to patients from the Portland area, he regularly sees patients who come from other parts of North America and from other continents. Dr. Dierks has published over 100 scientific papers and textbook chapters. Dr. Dierks partners with Providence Cancer Center in the Portland area.
