Dr. Franks is a graduate of George Washington University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, his internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and a fellowship at Hughston Sports Medicine Foundation in Georgia. He is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery, and was appointed Master Instructor for the Arthroscopic Association of North America where he teaches other surgeons advanced arthroscopic techniques. Dr. Franks specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee, primarily on an outpatient basis.
