Elizabeth S. Barr, D.M.D. (Betty)

Dr. Betty began working with children as a camp counselor during
her summers in high school, college and dental school. She graduated
from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and decided to
continue her commitment to children by completing the postdoctoral
program in pediatric dentistry at UK in 1976. She moved to Colorado
in 1977 and started this practice, Children's Dentistry.
Dr. Betty enjoys research and teaching as well as her full-time clinical practice. She is an adjunct faculty at the University of Colorado School of Dentistry and the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry.  Her research interests are endodontics (nerve treatment) and sealants; she has numerous publications in dental journals.
Active in the Colorado Dental Association and the American Academy
of Pediatric Dentistry, she is Board Certified in Pediatric
Dentistry and has been recognized as a Fellow of the American
College of Dentists, honorary membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon
and elected as Director of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry
from 1989 - 1996.
Dr. Betty and her husband, Dr. Don Kleier (see his bio at the end of
this page) are
active in the outdoors. They love to bike, backpack, fly fish and
backcountry ski. They also love UK Wildcat basketball.
