About Dr. Feinberg Since graduating from Tufts University in 1977, Dr. Edward Feinberg has been on a mission to help patients and improve the profession of Dentistry.Â A practicing dentist in Scarsdale, New York, he is the successor to a tradition established in 1948 by his father, Dr. Elliot Feinberg--a renowned expert, teacher and author in the field of crown and bridgework, precision attachment partial dentures and implant restorations.Â The principles and techniques of this tradition are documented in a growing collection of more than 100,000 slides of cases that date back to 1950.Â Dr. Feinbergâ€™s foremost mission is to provide patient care according to these principles.Â A second mission is to share these principles with other practitioners through seminars, publications, the internet, and the Westchester Academy of Restorative Dentistry (www.wardny.com), which he directs.Â Â Â Dr. Feinbergâ€™s third mission is to improve the profession through participation in organized dentistry, and he has been active in local, state and national levels.Â He has served the 1500 members of the Ninth District Dental Association as President, Membership Chairman and Editor of its quarterly publication. He is a recipient of the Ninth Districtâ€™s highest awardâ€”the D. Austin Sniffen Medal of Honor.Â Â On the state level, Dr. Feinberg participated as chairman of the Committee to Supervise the Student Program, chairman of the Publications Council and component reporter/contributor to the New York State Dental Journal. Â Dr. Feinberg has also served on three councils of the American Dental Association and currently represents New York State on the Council on ADA Sessions.Â Â He is a past president of the Scarsdale Rotary Club, the Scarsdale Dental Society, and the New York State Section of the International College of Dentists. In addition to ADA participation Dr. Feinberg has served as Chairman of the New York State Section of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and continues to assist the PFA behind the scenes.Â Organizations that enjoy his support and participation include the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, the Scarsdale Dental Society, the Scarsdale Chamber of Commerce, the Tufts Alumni Admissions Program, the American Association of Dental Editors, and the International Academy of Dentofacial Esthetics.Â
