Not only is it imperative for patients to be well educated about their disease processes, but it is similarly important for physicians to be educated about their patients. Only after this has been accomplished can an informed decision be made regarding the proper course of treatment. I strive to enter into a dialogue with all of my patients so that they can learn about their conditions, and I can learn about their particular situations.
