Dr. Vliegenthart is a fellowship trained Orthopedic surgeon with extensive surgical experience in Spine Surgery, Hand Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Trauma and Sports Medicine. He completed his Residency in Orthopedic and Hand Surgery at Cook County Hospital, Chicago Illinois. He has practiced Orthopedics in Melbourne since 1985. He also has served a 5 year appointment by President George Bush and HHS Secretary Tommy Thompson to the Medicare Program Advisory and Oversight Committee . Dr. Vliegenthart also serves as the Medical Director for First Choice Medical Group.
