Having completed medical school in Pittsburgh, Dr. Laddis chose to train in pediatrics in the Bronx. This laid a solid foundation in the field as well as an appreciation for the role of emergency services in a healthcare system aiming to serve the communitys needs. As the inaugural fellow in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan, Dr. Laddis immersed himself in not only caring for a diverse patient population but also helping to build an educational curriculum for the fellowship, residents and medical students. That institutions strong tradition in the field of allergy prompted his area of research, the management of anaphylaxis in the Pediatric Emergency Department. He brings this academic experience and his enthusiasm for caring for sick children and their families back to the Bronx as an attending in the Pediatric Emergency Services of The Childrens Hospital at Montefiore.
