Board certified in neurosurgery, Dr. Erasmus is medical director of the Taylor McAdam Bell Neuroscience Institute's Minimally Invasive Spine Program.
Dr. Erasmus has been a member of the Washington Hospital medical staff since 1979 when he established his medical practice in Fremont, California. Well respected in the community, he is a long-standing member of numerous professional organizations, including: the American Medical Association (AMA), California Medical Association (CMA), Alameda-Contra Costa County Medical Association (ACCMA), California Association of Neurological Surgeons (CANS), San Francisco Neurological Society (SFNS) and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPIO).
Dr. Erasmus obtained his medical school training at Christian Medical College in India. He then moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he completed additional training, including: an internship at Deaconess Hospital, general surgery training at St. Luke's Hospital and St. Vincent Charity Hospital and his neurology residency and neurosurgical training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
