Although Dr. Burton was born in Oregon, she was raised in a variety of locales as a result of her father's military career. She graduated from Hampton University, Hampton, VA in 1987 and then returned to Oregon to obtain her medical degree from OHSU in 1991. Her internship was at UCLA Medical Center. She returned to Oregon to finish her residency and then began private practice. Dr. Burton and her husband enjoy raising three children and enjoy all the outdoor activities that Oregon has to offer. Dr. Burton's interests include travel, third world medicine, wilderness medicine, and medical missions. Her hobbies include walking, reading and enjoying family photos.
