Dr. Dee Garrett, Pediatric General Surgeon, joins the staff at the Kids Specialty Center and Women's & Children's Hospital from Johns Hopkins Hospital in Maryland, where she completed a fellowship in Pediatric Surgery. She shares an office with Dr. Kenneth Falterman, Pediatric Surgeon with Women's & Children's Hospital for more than 20 years. Dr. Garrett earned a medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pennsylvania and later obtained a doctorate in Genetics from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She performed her Surgery residency at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans and went on to complete a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery in Los Angeles. Dr. Garrett published numerous research papers regarding minimally invasive surgery in pediatric patients.
