Dr. Prieto earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. After serving her internship at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, she completed her ophthalmology residency at New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center. She then returned to Philadelphia for a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. Dr. Prieto specializes in the care and surgery of all eye diseases of infants and children, including blocked tear ducts, amblyopia, and strabismus, often known as \"lazy eye.\" She also treats adults with strabismus (motility disorders or misaligned eyes) who require eye muscle surgery. She has extensive experience in the eye care of premature infants in neonatal intensive care units across southern New Jersey.
