Dr. McDaniel has been a Hoosier since birth, growing up in Southern Indiana. She graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed pediatric residency training at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. After leaving the residency program at Riley, she continued her ties with the Children's Hospital by acting as an associate clinical professor of pediatrics on a part-time basis for an additional four years, while beginning private practice in the Bloomington area.
She is a member of the Indiana State Medical Association and the Monroe-Owen County Medical Society and a diplomat of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is board certified in Pediatrics.
Dr. McDaniel is very interested in the care of sick newborns and premature infants. She was one of the physicians in attendance at the birth of the Gaither quintuplets, working to stabilize the tiniest quint. Her special interests include working with children with diabetes and seizure disorders. She presently serves as the pediatrician for many of the Stonebelt group homes in Bloomington.
Her husband, Terry, is an associate professor at Ball State University. They have two grown sons and now three grandsons, all of whom have provided a wonderful
background in PRACTICAL pediatrics!
