Brief Intro

Dr. Fochios provides general Orthopedic Care and Surgical Services to the community, that includes orthopedic rehabilitation, fracture care, sports medicine and total joint replacements. Dr. Fochios approaches his practice from the perspective of wanting to involve his patients in their care "through education and understanding of what their conditions are, rather than simply dictating to them what they should do." After his residency, Dr. Fochios pursued an extra year of Fellowship training in Sports Medicine. After graduation, his private practice and teaching responsibilities, he was the team physician covering all sports in several area high schools. He was also the physician for the NYPD, FDNY and Brookly Mariners, all semi pro football teams. He also took care of Master's level track and swim teams. In his free time, he is still active in competitive swimming at the national level. He has also completed the Iron Man triathalon and numerous open water swims up to six miles.
