Brief Intro

David S. Feldman, MD is an internationally recognized, American Board Certified, an orthopedic surgeon who stands at the forefront of complex pediatric and adult orthopedic procedures and treatments.

Dr. Feldman is currently the Director of Spinal Deformity and Hip Preservation Centers at the world-renowned Paley Institute in West Palm Beach Florida. Dr. Feldman is an expert in the care of spinal deformities such as scoliosis and kyphosis and specializes in treating patients with complex conditions such as arthrogryposis, achondroplasia, MHE, hip dysplasia, Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease, lower limb deformities, and limb length problems.

Dr. Feldman helped pioneer the use of a computerized assisted device to develop and perform surgical techniques for the correction of limb deformity, the use of hip distraction in treating Legg Calves Perthes Disease, and for the prevention of infections after spinal surgery. He is currently involved in a clinical trial on the medical treatment of Multiple Hereditary Exostoses as well as multiple clinical research studies regarding the management of arthrogryposis, scoliosis, hip dysplasia, and limb lengthening.

After graduating from the Albert Einstein School of Medicine in 1988, Dr. Feldman interned in general surgery. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery in 1993 at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases and spent the next year in fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children Toronto with a special interest in pediatric orthopedic surgery and pediatric spine surgery. Dr. Feldman then returned to New York and joined the Orthopedics Department at NYU where he became a full Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Pediatrics.

Dr. Feldman travels to Europe and Israel to perform surgery, allowing new patients to gain access to his critical expertise, as well as state-of-the-art care and management. Because of Dr. Feldman’s expertise in advanced non-surgical and surgical techniques, thousands of his patients around the world have become functional, pain-free, and independent in their daily activities.

Dr. Feldman also operates out of Paley European Institute Medicover Hospital. Check his website for planned visits.
