I was born in Brooklyn, New York, but my family moved to California when I was only 1 year of age (and I am glad we did!). I have been with my wife for more than 25 years and we have three beautiful children. I chose to enter medicine because of my keen interest in anatomy and physiology (the working of the biologic system). I am the second physician in my family, preceded by my father, an anesthesiologist. I enjoy reading fiction, am a true movie buff (nearly went to film school), and enjoy interior decorating and traveling.
