Brief Intro

David Maxfield, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee joint reconstruction. Dr. Maxfield treats patients with a spectrum of conditions including fractures and general musculoskeletal issues. His specific clinical interests include the treatment of arthritis of the hip and knee through both minimally and maximally invasive surgical techniques, robotic assisted surgery, and revision total joint arthroplasty.

Dr. Maxfield received his medical education at Texas Tech University Health sciences center. After medical school, he completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Baylor College of Medicine in the prestigious Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. After residency, he completed additional Fellowship training in Adult Hip and Knee Joint Reconstruction at the international renowned Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, Florida.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr, Maxfield has been involved as clinical faculty in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. He has also authored multiple research studies which have been published in national peer reviewed journals.

Dr. Maxfield is a member of the American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. In his free time, Dr. Maxfield enjoys personal fitness, playing the piano, and spending time outdoors with his family and friends.
