David Taing, MD, DC, CAQSM is currently offering family medicine and sports medicine care in Chipley, Florida. Born in Cambodia, he was sponsored at the age of six to the United States by a Christian American family from Massachusetts.
After receiving his undergraduate education at Tufts University, he went to receive his D.C. from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California. He obtained his medical degree from St. Matthew’s University in San Pedro, Belize. He completed his family medicine residency at the Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, South Carolina. During his third year of residency, he served as Chief Resident and participated in a medical mission trip to Haiti. He was awarded the Resident of the Year 2006 by the South Carolina Academy of Family Physicians. He completed his sports medicine fellowship at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. During his sports medicine fellowhip, he served as Team Physician for Albany State University and several local high schools. He also worked professionally with the Atlanta Falcons, WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), and AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals). Dr. Taing was named as one of America’s Top Family Doctors in 2009 and 2010 by the Consumer’s Research Council of America.
When time allows, Dr. Taing enjoys traveling, fishing, sports, and spending time with his lovely wife, Marlene.
