Dr. Truitte is board certified in Internal Medicine-cardiovascular disease and Echocardiography. After earning his medical degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, he received additional training through a residency in Internal Medicine at Temple University Hospital, and a fellowship in Cardiology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He loves caring for the Lynchburg & Danville community because "our patients are our family; they trust us to care for them and we abide by that trust." When he is not providing care at the Heart and Vascular Institute, he likes to spend his time with Karin (my wife and best friend) and our five grown children when in town, along with hiking, biking, and traveling when we can.
