Daniel DelCastillo has been practicing dentistry for 15 years in South Florida. He is married to Grace and they have two beautiful girls, Dara and Aliya. A native of Cuba, he left at the age of two and grew up on the streets of Miami Beach. He attended Hebrew Academy and Miami Beach Senior High School. Later, he returned to his roots to open up his current dental practice.
Daniel's college career started at the University of Miami with studies in chemistry and Judaic studies. He attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry and completed a general practice residency program at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. During this time, he was a clinical assistant instructor at the State University of New York Health Science Center and later at Mount Sinai Dental Clinic. At Kings County, he was the CIR union representative for general practice and a board member of the North Dade Dental Society and Insurance Review Committee. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists, Academy of General Dentists, World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry, Florida Dental Association, South Florida Dental Association, and Miami Beach Dental Association. Dr. DelCastillio has also earned a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantolgists (ICOI).
Dr. DelCastillo continues to devote over 100 hours in educational courses in order to keep up with all of the latest advances in dentistry. He has had advanced education in aesthetic and restorative dentistry at the Hornbrook Group, the New York Group for Aesthetic Dentistry, as well as several other cosmetic symposiums. He has extensive training in restoring implant dentistry and oral surgery. He has added the benefit of digital photography to his practice for cosmetic imaging. And, he has received a certificate for high anxiety relaxation from the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. He is a current member of the World Congress for Minimally Invasive Dentistry and has held workshops in his office for the Biolase Laser.
His participation in Donated Dental Services, Give Kids a Smile, and fund raising missions such as Climb for a Cause to benefit Operation Smile has made him a pillar in his community.
During his off time, he enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and extremely active children.
