Dana R. Sands, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is a Staff Surgeon in the Department of Colorectal Surgery and Director of the Colorectal Physiology Center at Cleveland Clinic Florida Weston, where she was appointed in 2002. Her specialty interests include benign anorectal diseases, fecal incontinence, inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer, pelvic floor dysfunction and transanal endoscopic microsurgery. She is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. After attaining her BS in biology from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., Dr. Sands earned her medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa., in 1996.
