Brief Intro

With fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and more than three decades of practice in fertility care, Dr. Gehlbach is an experienced, compassionate fertility physician whose expertise has helped thousands of families overcome challenges to deliver healthy babies. After working as a reproductive endocrinologist at medical centers in Kansas City and across the United States, Dr. Gehlbach established Midwest Reproductive Center in Olathe in 2004. After two decades of leading a successful independent practice, in August 2024, he and his team joined the AdventHealth network to establish the AdventHealth Fertility Center, the national health system’s only fertility clinic. Dr. Gehlbach has earned numerous honors for excellence in patient care and clinical research, and he has presented, lectured and researched extensively on topics related to fertility and reproductive health. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology (FACOG) and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology. In addition to his proven experience in the fertility clinic setting, Dr. Gehlbach is a decorated veteran of the United States military where he served as an Army physician for 15 years. Along with nurse practitioners Goldie Bjornstad, APRN, FNP-C, and Johni Kilton, APRN, WHNP-BC, Dr. Gehlbach welcomes new patients at the AdventHealth Fertility Center, located on the campus of AdventHealth Shawnee Mission.
