As a pediatrician, my duty is to work with families to keep their children healthy. This involves much more than just giving shots and writing prescriptions. Good medicine means taking time to sit down with the children and their families to listen to their concerns, address issues that they feel are important and share my knowledge with them, so that together we can work to keep the children healthy. One of my areas of special interest is childhood asthma. It is important that children with asthma receive proper care so that they can do all of the things that children like to do, such as riding bikes or playing sports. My hobbies include figure skating and hockey. While in medical school, I coached youth hockey at Farview Park in North Minneapolis. I grew up in North Minneapolis. I appreciate all that the Twin Cities has to offer. I see my practice of medicine here, as a way for me to give back to a community that has given me so much.
