Dr. Danney, a native Texan, grew up in Boerne, Texas near San Antonio. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1998 with a degree in Biochemistry, while lettering on the UT football team. He then attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston.
During his orthopaedic surgery residency at Duke University, he cared for the Duke basketball and football teams. He also received the William S. Ogden Traveling Fellowship Award for the outstanding junior resident.
Recently, Dr. Danney relocated back to Austin and the Texas Hill Country with his wife. He enjoys golfing and traveling.
