Dr. Sherman began his path towards Orthopedic Surgery with undergraduate degree in Physiology from the University of Arizona. From there he attended San Diego State University where he earned a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology. After graduating from SDSU, Dr. Sherman matriculated to Midwestern University (AZCOM), an Osteopathic medical school in Arizona. He was attracted to Osteopathic medicine because of its focus on the musculoskeletal system, which he felt was the perfect compliment for a medical student who was looking to get into the Orthopedic Surgery field.
Dr. Sherman's love the mechanical nature of orthopaedics and its direct physical contribution to a patient's health allowed for him to excel in his field. He completed his residency at Riverside County Regional Medical Center and followed that up with fellowship in orthopaedic trauma surgery and a mini fellowship in Adult Joint Reconstruction with the University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Sherman utilized the skills he honed at Riverside County Regional Medical Center and UC San Diego to develop a practice that caters to the trauma and post- traumatic patient, is centered on sound principle, is committed to achieving exceptional results, and is focused on emerging trends and technologies that may lead to these ends. On a more personal level, his greatest aspirations for the future are simply to excel, teach, and inspire.
Dr. Sherman stays busy taking trauma call at multiple hospitals throughout California and attending to the needs of the patients that he sees in his 3 Southern California offices.
