Christopher A. Danby, MD, a cardio-thoracic surgeon with Lutheran Medical Group, sees patients as part of CMH's Specialty Clinics. He completed a general surgery residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in 1991 and served two years as staff general surgeon at Winn Army Community Hospital in Fort Stewart, Ga., where he became skilled in video-assisted surgical procedures. Dr. Danby completed a cardiothoracic surgery residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1995, where he remained as a staff cardiothoracic surgeon for two years. During that time, he served as medical director of the School of Perfusion Technology, as quality assurance coordinator of the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery and as an assistant professor of surgery for the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. Dr. Danby earned the rank of major while serving in the U.S. Army Medical Corps.
