Brief Intro

Charles L. O'Brien, M.D. received his M.D. from Tulane University Medical School and completed his pediatric residency at Children's Memorial Hospital. Dr. O'Brien joined Dr. Robert Levy in 1980 and has been practicing pediatrics in Deerfield since then. He was one of the founding members of the Children's Community Physicians Association, serving as President from 1998 to 2000. He has been a regular ward attending at North Shore University's Evanston Hospital teaching both Northwestern University and the University of Chicago medical residents and students. He has consistantly been selected as one of the top doctors in Castle Connolly's Chicago Guide to Healthcare Providers. He was honored as one of nine pediatricians in Chicago Magazine's Top Docs in 2008 and again, one of eight pediatricians recognized in Chicago Magazine's Top Docs in 2010. He recently was chosen as one of twelve pediatricians in Chicago Magazines Top Docs in 2012. North Shore Magazine also selected him as one of their top Pediatricians in 2010. Dr. O'Brien is married and the father of four children. He enjoys tennis, kayaking and travel in his spare time.
