Dr. Mierisch specializes in shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist surgery. He uses minimally invasive surgical techniques to perform open and arthroscopic procedures, stemless total shoulder replacement, reverse total shoulder replacement, peripheral nerve surgery and microvascular surgery. He uses 3D virtual preoperative planning for more accurate implant placement and to preserve bone. Seeing his patients overcome obstacles due to injury or chronic conditions is rewarding for Dr. Mierisch. He also teaches residents and medical students. He enjoys spending time outdoors, running, biking, kayaking, skiing and taking his family out for hikes.
